regardless of specificity, so the whole model is: grid-react emits neutral defaults into sxl-defaults,
studio-mui emits its MUI-derived values into sxl-app, and clients override in sxl-overrides. Consumers
read var(--sxl-*) UNLAYERED, so they (and inline one-offs) still beat every layer.
