    Interface GetTextOptions

    Options for ICell.getText.

    interface GetTextOptions {
        hideStringPrefix?: boolean;
        showFormulas?: boolean;
        useFormattingCategory?: boolean;
    }
    Index
    hideStringPrefix?: boolean

    Suppresses the single quote prefix on string values, returning bare display values instead.

    false

    Use for UI rendering and clipboard operations where type annotation is not needed. Defaults to false — strings are prefixed by default.

    showFormulas?: boolean

    Returns what formula view displays rather than the formatted value.

    false

    A formula cell returns = + its formula text, a cell spilled INTO returns '' (only the anchor shows the formula), and every other cell returns its raw value with no number format — a m/d/yyyy cell returns 45292, a 0.00% cell 0.125. That last rule is stricter than useFormattingCategory, which is the formula BAR's text and keeps dates and percents.

    Takes precedence over useFormattingCategory and hideStringPrefix: formula view applies neither a number format nor a string prefix.

    useFormattingCategory?: boolean

    Only uses the minimum formatting, ignoring number formatting, returning the underlying value with minimal decoration.

    false

    Mimics the Excel formula bar, where most formatting is stripped but certain types (dates, times, percentages) retain minimal formatting.
