Uses user agent sniffing and is only meaningful in a browser-like environment; it intentionally does not report the JavaScript runtime (node vs browser) - that is resolved via conditional exports, not runtime detection. Returns OSType.Unknown when no user agent is available (e.g. node).
Gets the client platform (operating system / browser engine).
