null is what every embedding report tests: an unprotected sheet says nothing about protection,
at any altitude. Paused is reported because the document is still a protected one — it saves
protected and resume() restores it — even though nothing is refused meanwhile. The password is
only ever a word here; its hash and salt are never printed.
